“allegro giovanissimo” pre-Christmas extravaganza

Two consecutive concerts organized by myself under the auspices of the Academy of Music, with the friendly support of the Mayor, and performed by young promising musicians, mostly students and alumni of the Academy (including myself*). The programs were this time announced as “mostly Haydn – and surprises” and featured Arnold Mendelssohn’s Trio for 2 violins and piano (Trio Amica), Jurij Mihevec: Pièces caractéristiques*, Haydn: Zigeunertrio (Trio Joy) & Qurtett “the Lark” (Quartetto Alauda), Franz Strauss: Nocturno* (Klever Felicio, horn), Saint-Saëns: The Swan* & Mendelssohn: Song without words* (Bernardo Brizani. cello) and Gluck, Grieg, Fürstenau (Trio Cantabile).
