Institute Celeia invited me to play a solo piano recital and to form the program for the two other concerts, featuring young musicians. My guests were Trio Joy with performances of Max Bruch’s Trio and Nenad Firšt’s Passionato , whereas I played in all other combinations: Trio Pastiche (with D. Opačić, violin and V. Sedlak, saxophone) played Eric Desimpelaere, Jean-Luc Defontaine and Ida Gotkowsky; flutist Luka Železnik, and myself played Donizetti and Karg-Elert and were joined by mezzosoprano Sabina Gruden for the cantata “She sleeps, perhaps” by Serbian composer Rajko Maksimović (who came from Belgrade and just that very day celebrated his 80th birthday). The highlight of this mini-festival were Brahms’ Liebesliederwalzer op. 52, with soprano Maria Pönicke, mezzosoprano Inez Osina, tenor Domen Alnžlovar and baritone Klemen Adamlje, whereas Nejc Lavrenčič joined me in the four-hands piano part.
